Seamus Kelly - (6/5/74) Seamus signed for UCD in the summer of 1993 from hometown club Tullamore, establishing himself as one of the country's top keepers during his 150 League appearances with UCD (where he now lectures on occasion). Honoured by Ireland at “B” level during 96/97. Has played in goal for Offaly at senior Gaelic football. Transferred to Cardiff City in the summer of 1998, returning to Dublin in 2000. Joined Bohs for the 2003 campaign after completing three seasons with St Pat’s. Matt Gregg - (30/11/78) A trainee with Torquay, he signed for Palace for £400,000 in 1998; had loan spells with Swansea and Exeter while a Palace player before signing for Bray Wanderers in October 2001. Signed for Bohs early April 2003 on a two-year contract. Jonathon Duggan - (28/6/84) Previously with Home Farm Schoolboys, Jonathan has proved a very capable keeper with the Bohemian Under 21 side since he joined the club in July 2002. Capped at Under 19 level.
Damien Lynch - (31/7/79) From Santry, where he played his soccer with St Kevin's before he was enticed across to Leeds United. He was a member of the Leeds team that won the FA Youth Cup in 1997 when his team-mates included Harry Kewell, Jonathan Woodgate, and Stephen McPhail. Damien has been capped several times by the Republic of Ireland at Under 21 level. Unfortunately for Damien, much of his career has been ravaged by a series of injuries, mainly shin splints and groin problems. Released by Leeds, he was signed by Nottingham Forest in October 2001 where he played reserve team football last season. He's playes right back. His brother Aidan was with UCD until recently. Simon Webb - (19/1/78) A trainee with Spurs from August 94, Simon moved to Leyton Orient in October 99. Capped at U18 level. Played out part of 1999/2000 on loan to Chester before signing for Bohs from Purfleet in July 2000. A former midfielder, hes a very quick and skilful operator who loves to get forward. He has hit a couple of goals direct from free kicks in the 00/01 and 01/02 season. A first team regular who never seems to miss a game. Colin Hawkins - (17/8/77) Colin has been a revelation at the heart of the Bohs defence since returning to Ireland after a horror three years with Doncaster Rovers. A quick, fall, well-built and mobile centre half was the answer to Bohs' problems in that position at the end of last season. He under went a successful groin operation during pre-season and on his come back in a friendly with Athlone Town he was among the scorers in a 5-0 win. Thomas Heary - (14/2/79) Signed for Huddersfield as a trainee in 95/96, making the first of over 100 appearances for them in December 1996. Won four U21 caps for Republic of Ireland. Bohs’ latest signing is an accomplished and versatile performer whose arrival makes competition for places at Dalymount Park hotter than ever. Jason McGuinness - (8/8/82) Jason graduated from the Bohemian FC Schoolboys set-up into our Under 21 team for season 2001/2002. Season 2002/03 his rise was even more meteoric, scoring for the eircom League Under 21’s versus Celtic (4/8/02), making his senior Bohs debut v. UCD in the FAI Carlsberg Cup (16/8/02), and then winning his first Ireland Under 21 cap v. Finland (20/8/02) when he was called up in place of Man Utd’s John O’Shea. To top it all he scored on his full League debut as Bohs were crowned League champions! Paul McNally - (1/3/75) Played mostly as centre back with his previous club, Longford Town, but he has also played as a full back. He began his League career with St Francis under Pete Mahon in season 1996/97, moving on to Longford Town in 98/99. In all he has made 165 League appearances to date (9 goals). When he was out injured for three consecutive games for Longford last season they hit their worst defensive patch, conceding 14 goals. On his return they got a vital win at home to Derry City as he came up with the only goal. He scored from the penalty spot in the Town's relegation/promotion play-off 2nd leg away to Finn Harps, thus ensuring the tie went into the penalty shoot-out which Longford won 6-5 with the help of another McNally conversion. Ken Oman - (29/7/82) Lanky centre half made an impressive debut towards the end of the 01/02 season in a 3-0 win over Monaghan United. This twenty year old has a bright future ahead of him. He was brought to the club by Pete Mahon; this former Rivermount Boys player has been capped at Under 18 level. He made his League debut when he came on for right full Brian Shelley away to Galway United at Terryland on 31 August 2001.
Kevin Hunt - (4/7/75) Kevin joined Bohs in December 1998 after a two-year stint with Rangers of Hong Kong and helped save us from relegation that season. His other former clubs include QPR (as a schoolboy) and Gillingham. He scored the winner v Sligo Rovers on Bohs return to Dalymount on 31 October 1999, and he also notched one in the FAI Cup semi-final v Bray Wanderers later that season. Kevin was Bohs Player of the Year for 1999/2000, and also won The Star newspaper's Fans' Player of the Year 1999/2000. One of the most popular players ever to play for Bohs, Kevin captained the Gypsies to their first League title in 23 years in 2000/2001 and then to our first Double since 1928! Although Glen Crowe wins all the awards, Kevin Hunt is widely recognised as Bohs' most important and influential player in central midfield. Stephen Caffrey - (9/12/75) Stephen began his senior soccer career with Bohs as a centre back in 1994; a talented Gaelic footballer, he was making his mark with St Vincent's also around that time and was in the "Dubs" Under 21 squad. He moved to Glenavon in December 1996 where he soon became a first team regular, but mostly as a central midfielder. Roddy Collins lured "Caffo" back to the Gypsies early in August 1999 from the Lurgan club and established himself alongside Kevin Hunt in the middle of the park. Our vice captain epitomises the spirit of the side. A versatile - he still occasionally plays in defence - and tireless performer whose commitment is unmistakeable, his all-round talents continue to mature. He is afraid to go in where it hurts either. Fergal Harkin - (26/11/76) Fergal was with Leicester City during the Martin O'Neill era whilst studying at Loughborough, and later had a brief spell with Rotherham United. He joined Bohs in the summer of 1998, signed by Joe McGrath who got the sack after five games and Roddy Collins came in and shocked supporters by transferring the skilful midfielder to Finn Harps after only 11 appearances. He appeared in three cup finals for Finn Harps all in three weeks (the Final, the replay and the second replay). Fergal then rejoined Bohs in June 2001, to find only two players had remained from his first stint. Fergal is a part time player and works for Nike, and is among the fans favourite players at Dalymount. Mark Rutherford - (25/3/72) Made his name in Ireland with his pacey wing play for Shelbourne (195 League games, 15 goals). Roddy Collins signed him from Newry Town in January 2001 and his former clubs include Birmingham City and Shrewsbury Town. His addition to the side provided that extra bit of SPARK that Bohs needed to go on and win the double in his first season. Mark scored some spectacular solo goals during that season, especially against Bray Wanderers and Finn Harps. Dave Morrison - (30/11/74) The first of our summer 2000 signings, David was almost three years with Leyton Orient but played out season 1999/2000 with Dover. He moved from Chelmsford to Peterborough for £30k in May 94, and from there to Orient for £25,000 in March 97. Dave or Morro as he is known as at Bohs can play on both right and left wings. The strong point of his game is crossing, he is exceptional at and he also weighs in with his fair share of goals from midfield. He cracking a fibula v Shamrock Rovers in November 2000, but made a remarkable recovery and returned to the side in January 2001 and made an instant impact, with a couple of assists in the 4-3 win away to UCD. He scored the crucial opening goal away to Kilkenny City in our title-clinching win on the last day of the season. The following week he got married the day before the FAI Cup final, in which we beat Longford Town 1-0. Missed most of last season due to illness which he has happily put behind him. Bobby Ryan - (1/5/79) Bobby was Stephen Kenny's first signing in January 2002. He is a tricky left winger, who also operates well up front and has plenty of tricks up his sleeve. His former clubs are Limerick and most recently Galway United. At Galway he was a star in a struggling side. Kenny is a long-term admirer of Bobby skills and he had a massive season for Bohs in 2002/03, culminating with his title-clinching header against Shels on 12 January 2003. One of the most exciting talents to have graced the League in years. John Lester - (5/8/82) Ex-Everton. Capped previously at Under 16 and U18 levels (the latter while with Everton), John made his U21 debut at Kilmarnock v. Scotland in February 2003. Joined Bohs in June 2001, making his League debut away to Galway United in August. An expert free and corner taker, 2003 promises to be a big season for this talented central midfielder on his return from a long loan spell with Monaghan United, where he was voted on to the PFAI's First Division Team of the Season 2002/03. Gareth Cooney - (--/--/--) Currently on loan with Limerick, but sadly recently tore his cruciate knee ligament and will be out of action for anything up to a year.
Glen Crowe - (25/12/77) Glen began his senior career with Wolves and scored in his first full game away to Charlton in May 1996. He also had spells with Cardiff City, Exeter City, and Plymouth Argyle before returning to Ireland in the summer of 1999, to play for Bohs. Glen was a member of the Republic of Ireland U-20 squad who won bronze at the World Youth Cup in Malaysia in 1997. After a poor first season with only 10 goals in all competitions, he worked hard on his game and became the league top goal scorer with 25 League goals and another 10 in cup competitions during 2000/2001. He set a new club record with successive League hat-tricks against Bray and Longford, and then became one of a very select few Bohemian players to score in 8 successive competitive games (last achieved 60 years ago). In Europe he scored in each leg of our UEFA Cup tie against 1. FC Kaiserslautern in 2000 and then in 2001 he scored twice against Levadia Maardu and once against Halmstads. He then overhauled David "Rocky" O'Brien's 4-goal total to become Bohs' top scorer in Europe, with 5. Glen has won just about every award going for an eircom League player: Soccer Writers', PFAI's, National League United and eircom League Player of the Year for 2000/2001. Glen was called into the Republic of Ireland squad for the World Cup qualifiers v. Portugal and Estonia during summer 2001. Unsurprisingly, he was also the Bohemian Supporters' Club Player of the Year for 2000/2001. Also in 2002 he won RTÉ's eircom League player of the year. Paul Keegan - (30/12/72) Powerful striker who made a big impact with Bray Wanderers in season 2000/2001 before suffering a cruciate ligament injury. Mobile, intelligent, strong in the air, he’s a great team player. Had a couple of spells with St Pat's early in his career, but played mostly with the New England Revolution. Signed during summer 2002 from Bray, Paul’s first season with Bohs saw the League trophy returning to Dalymount Park towards the end of 2002/03 after a man-of-the-match display down in Tolka Park. Robbie Doyle - (15/4/82) Robbie had three seasons as a trainee at Blackburn Rovers before returning to Ireland with Bray Wanderers during 2001/02. He linked up with UCD last season, 2002/03, and was their top scorer with 9 goals (League and FAI Cup); two of his League goals were against Bohs at Dalymount! Robbie has won Ireland caps at Youth and Under 21 levels. Stephen Ward - (20/8/85) Stephen has made rapid progress in his first season with Bohs. Already a Schoolboy international, he won his first Under 19 cap in August 2003 and was then called into the U19 squad for the Euro qualifying tournament in San Marino the next month, scoring 3 goals including a last-minute winner v. Lithuania that ensured Ireland topped the group. Stephen joined Bohs in April from Portmarnock's Under 17 side and scored twice on his first team début when introduced as a sub against Skerries Town in the FAI Carlsberg Cup on 15 August 2003. He made his League début the following week v. St Pat's and is now a regular in the squad. Willie Doyle - (24/11/84) Willie scored for Ireland’s U19’s on his debut and also won call ups to the Eircom U18 and the Irish Schoolboys international squads during season 2002/03 when he made his senior debut for Bohs. Shows great promise as a striker, and can also play wide on the right.
