Sally
will hold her next exhibition entitled
"When the shoe fits the foot is forgotten"
in
the Sirius Art Centre, Cobh, Co Cork
in Febuari 2002. The show is based
on the the work of Taoist poet Chuang Tzu.

Sally
Kearney was born in Cork, on the 18th of November 1951
Moving
to Dublin in 1969, she studied Fine Arts in Trinity College. After receiving
her B.A. in 1973,
she worked
as a professional Batik Artist until 1990. During this period she moved
to her beautiful West Cork home and garden outside Union Hall where
she lives with her husband, wood sculptor Dave Fitzpatrick.
Sally
Kearney works in oil on wood ....usually on bark or poles. She takes her
inspiration from various spiritual traditions Buddhist, Christian, Taoist.
She
is working towards an exhibition "When the shoe fits the foot is forgotten"
based on the work of Taoist poet Chuang Tsu which will also include paintings
of rain in ink on paper.
She
is a member of the Artists Association of Ireland.
