Before you start exploring this website, please read the disclaimer. "WCDRC Ltd" stands for Westside Community Development Resource Centre Ltd., a community development project (CDP), funded and set up by the Government.* It is also the official name of the actual building the project is operating from - the Westside Resource Centre. The target area of the CDP is the Westside of Galway City. The new resource centre opened its doors at Seamus Quirke Road in 2001, replacing the old building in the Westside Enterprise Park. WCDR offers community childcare services - a creché and a preschool - (click "Childcare") and has two meeting rooms availavble for hire by community, voluntary and support groups. We also provide administrative support and computer facilities for individuals and community/voluntary organisations. The resource centre also houses a variety of services and local branches of national organisations. Furthermore, a number of support/self-help groups, CDPs and community & voluntary organisations regularly use our meeting rooms.
