Who Can Use the Rooms?
Target Groups
Groups supported by WCDRC Ltd and explicitly named in our workplan
can use the meeting rooms at the Westside Resource Centre. Insurance cover will
be extended by WCDRC Ltd to these target groups. This will be reviewed on an
ongoing basis.
Other Groups
Also community and voluntary support groups and statutory agencies
and organisations who are not outlined in the workplan of WCDRC Ltd can avail
of the meeting rooms at the Westside Resource Centre. These groups must provide
a copy of their current public liability insurance cover, specifically indemnifying
the Westside Resource Centre. The use of the rooms must comply with the policy
of WCDRC Ltd and the group must supply certain information and fill in the application
form.
Priorities
1. First priority of use is for community/voluntary/charity groups supporting
Westside residents.
2. Second priority is offered to statutory organisations providing services
directly to the Westside community.
3. We also accommodate national and local organisations who provide training/information
etc. to various groups in Galway City and County.
4. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate private businesses or for-profit events.
Cost
There is a standard cost for the use of the meeting rooms, which
is set and reviewed annually with WCDRC Ltd. This covers the cost of providing
the service and is not for the purpose of making a profit. It is currently set
at € 12 per hour + 21 % VAT.
Opening Hours
The Westside Resource Centre opens on normal working days, Monday
to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The meeting rooms can be used at these
hours. There is also the possibility to use the rooms between 7:00 and 9:00
p.m., Monday to Thursday.
Advertising
We have quite a strict policy regarding groups and individuals
advertising events or issuing promotional material in relation to the meeting
rooms. Please contact the Project Co-ordinator before taking any such steps.
Cancellations
There is a cancellation fee in the event of groups not turning
up for the booked hours, unless 48 hours' notice has been received by the WCDRC
Ltd. Failure to comply with the above may jeopardise your access to our facilities.
The management would like to thank you for your interest in
the meeting rooms and is looking forward to facilitating and working with your
group in the future.
If you are interested in booking a room, would like further details or wish
to make an appointment to view the rooms, please call the Administrator or the
Project-Coordinator at 091-528325. You may also download and complete the application
