RTE add DOGs to RTE ONE and N2

All Irish TV channels now watermarked.

Hot on the heels of their new branding package for RTE ONE, RTE has today added permanent on-screen logos (digitally originated graphics or DOGs) to RTE ONE and Network 2. The RTE ONE DOG is the new channel logo, identical to that used on programme promotions. The Network 2 DOG features both the RTE and N2 logos – from a distance, it appears to read “RTE2” (the former name for the channel, abandoned in 1988). The DOGs first appeared on the channel late last week, but were abandoned later that day. They now appear to have permanently returned.
