Author Biography

Author Melissa Hill is originally from Co Tipperary, and now lives with her husband and dog in Wicklow.  She has worked in banking, computers and the gifts industry.

She began writing her first novel Something You Should Know in early 2002. It was accepted for publication by Poolbeg the same year, published in 2003, and became an Irish bestseller.

Her second novel, Not What You Think was published a year later, and spent twelve weeks in the Irish top ten. The book is currently published in the UK and internationally by Random House UK, and is also set for translation in a number of European languages.

Her latest book in Ireland, Never Say Never, reached No 1 in the Irish Times bestseller list, and is currently available in Irish bookshops. The book will be released in the UK, Canada, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand in 2006, along with translated editions throughout Europe.

Combining her own love of thriller novels by authors such as Jeffery Deaver, James Patterson and John Grisham, and warm, down-to-earth contemporary women's fiction, Melissa's stories are full of twists and turns designed to keep readers enthralled.

Her next book, Wishful Thinking is due for publication in Ireland in October 2005, and she is currently working on her fifth novel, entitled All Because of You.

Melissa is represented by Sheila Crowley at AP Watt Literary Agency, London.
