John Walsh

After a promising GAA career with Wicklow and Bray Emmets, which included National League medals and All Ireland B honours as well as a staring role in two games against Meath in the Leinster Football Championship at Croke Park in 1991 John's soccer career began later that summer when he joined Finn Harps. His time in Donegal was marred by a cruciate knee ligament injury, which forced him to miss a season and a half. He joined his hometown club Bray Wanderers in 1996. John set a club record of 6 consecutive clean sheets in December 1998 & January 1999. Also holds the record for the most clean sheets for the club. Missed almost a full year from September 2001 to September 2002, again with an injury, but has now returned as first choice 'keeper again.
Chris O'Connor

Goalkeeper
Date Of Birth 07/05/85, Brisbane, Australia
Chris spent twelve years with Rochedale Rovers, one of Queensland's top League clubs, where he was described as "a terrific goalkeeper with a huge future in the game". Made his first team debut for Bray Wanderers against Athlone Town in the First Division at St. Mel's Park on 10th May 2003, and has been an excellent addition to the seagulls squad
Maurice Farrell

Left Back
Date Of Birth 22/11/69, Dublin
After winning various honours at schoolboy level including Under 18 premier league and FAI Youths cup Maurice began his national League career with Shelbourne, after having spells with Athlone, Home Farm and Elm Rovers, Mo joined the Wanderers in 1991. And is currently the seagull's longest serving player. Maurice has an FAI cup Winners medal from the successful cup campaign of 1999.
Jody Lynch

Central Defender / Right
Back Date Of Birth 18/12/75, Dublin. J
ody started out with St. Joseph's Boys before moving to UCD in 1994 on a scholarship. He made the UCD first team in 1995 playing alongside his brother Packie. Jody joined Bray Wanderers in 1996 from UCD. Jody was ever present in the league for Wanderers in 1997/98 & 1998/99 seasons and set a club record for consecutitive league appearances from 26th January 1997 to 2nd May 1999 - a total of 73 league games in succession but since then has had horrendous luck with injuries, which included breaking his leg, dislocating his shoulder and breaking his thumb. Was voted the Supporters club Player of the year for 1997/98 season. Jody is now the club captain.
Graham O'Hanlon

Right Back / Central Defender
Date Of Birth 19/05/78, Dublin
Affectionately known as "Chopper" to the Bray faithful, Graham was signed originally by Pat Devlin for Bray Wanderers as an 18 year old from Belvedere in the 1996. Graham joined Bohemians in 1998 and was a regular as Roddy Collins took over at Dalymount Park but the following season he failed to command a regular place in the first team. He then moved to Finn Harps for a short spell at the beginning of 2000/1 season before joining Kilkenny City in a deal that took former Wanderers player Ray Kenny the opposite direction. Graham is a tough tackling, no nonsense defender to has put in several solid displays this season and has formed a formidable partnership with Wesley Charles.
Wesley Charles

Central Defender
Date of Birth 12/12/75, Brighton, St Vincent
"Big Wes" is a current International player for St Vincent & the Grenadines. He started his career as a goalkeeper in his youth before becoming a commanding central half. Joined Wanderers in November 2000 after spending two seasons with Sligo Rovers. Wesley has won the player of the month on several occasions for the Seagulls, including 3 in a row for the 2002/2003 season.
Keith Long

Right Back / Midfielder
Date Of Birth 14/11/73, Dublin
Keith started his career with Stoke City before joining Dundalk in 1993. Longer has had quite a successful career winning the league title with Dundalk in the 1994/95 season, and St. Pats in 1997/98 and 1998/99. Keith joined Bray Wanderers in July 2000 after returning from a year in Australia. Keith made his 200th career appearance against Galway United at Terryland Park in April 2003.
Paul O'Reilly

Right Back
Date Of Birth 17/01/83, Dublin
Paul started out with Dundrum Athletic before he signed for St Josephs Boys and stayed there for 10 years until he signed for Bray in the summer of 2002. Started the season as a 1st choice player but a serious Achilles tendon injury has seen him miss the best part of the season.
Ciaran Ryan

Left Back / Midfielder
Date Of Birth 03/09/79, Bray
Ryaner began playing football with his local side Ardmore Rovers to Joeys. During his spell there he won his 1st international schoolboy caps at under 15 & under 16 levels. Signed for Blackburn Rovers and the highlight of his stay at Edwood Park was reaching the FA youths cup final in 1997/98 season in which Blackburn were defeated by Everton in a two legged final. Joined Bray from Blackburn Rovers in July 1999 and scored a belter on his Wanderers debut against Kilkenny City in a league cup-tie. Ciaran can play at either left back or his more effective left midfield position. Has put in some very good display this season and is currently keeping Paul Forsyth out of the side.
Colm Tresson

Right / Central Defender / Midfielder
Date Of Birth 29/06/71, Dublin
"Daz" made his 350th career league game against Kildare County on August 2003. Colm was voted the Supporters Club player of the year for three seasons in a row (1998/9, 1999/2000 & 2000/01). PFAI First Division player of the year in 1999/2000. Colm is Probably the most versatile player in both Eircom Leagues; he can play in any number of positions. Has an FAI cup winners medal -1999. Colm was the leading goal scorer in 2000/01 season with Wanderers.
Paul Forsyth

Left Midfield
Date Of Birth 11/04/81, Dublin
Paul joined Bray Wanderers in September 2001 from Blackburn Rovers and made his debut as a substitute in Wanderers' 5-1 win over Dundalk later that month. Paul has had trials with many of England's top clubs, including Manchester United and Middlesborough, and had a 3-year spell with Blackburn Rovers. He has been capped at Under 15, 16, 17 and 18's for Ireland, and has trained with the Under 21's as well. Paul won under 21 player of the year for the 2001/2 season, putting in some absolutely superb performances throughout the season.
Eddie Gormley

Central Midfielder

Signed from St Patrick's Athletic in 2000 for his second spell with Wanderers. Super Ed is Wanderers' dead ball specialist, who has contributed his fair share of goals over the past few seasons. Eddie has had spells with Tottenham Hotspur & Doncaster Rovers. Eddie was Doncaster's player of the year twice before returning home and joining Drogheda United for a brief spell under Pat Devlin. Won two Premier Division titles in 1997/8 & 1998/99 with St. Pats. Player of the year in 2001/2 after putting in excellent performances along with eight league goals to his credit.
Colm James

Central Midfielder
Date Of Birth 16/06/83, Dublin
Colm made his first team debut away to Longford Town in October 2002 and is now a first team regular, having put in some fine performances. Colm is a tough tackling, all-action, box-to-box midfielder. Has carried his remarkable from through from the Under 21's and has made the transisition to 1st team football look relatively easy. Scored his first goal against Athlone Town in August 2003.
Mickey Lawless

Michael was ever present in Wanderers' Under-21s 2001/02 season after returning from a spell with Blackburn Rovers where he played alongside Ex-Wanderers star Robbie Doyle. Made his senior debut in the League Cup 2-1 defeat to UCD in October 2001. Mickey picked up the Under-21 player of the year award for 2002/03.
Robbie McGuinness

Right / Central Midfielder

Robbie has been an absolute sensation since signing from St. Pats in July 2003, putting in some fine performances and stunning goals to match. McGuinness started out with Joeys before moving to Dublin's crack schoolboy side Cherry Orchard before signing for St. Pats in 1998, where he has collected league and league cup winner's medals. Robbie has played Under-18 and Under-21 for Ireland. He is a classy midfielder who can either operate on the right side or in the centre.
Anthony Martin

Dublin born Martin had spent three years with the Blackburn Academy, becoming a regular in their Under-19s side and appearing in the Reserves as well before returning to Bray. The Ex- Irish Under-16 International, who played schoolboy football with Belvedere, was released by Ewood on the same day as Northern Ireland's Keith Gillespie, Hakan Sukur & Henning Berg. Signed for Bray in July 2003. Has yet to make his 1st team debut with The Seagulls.
Kieran O'Brien

"Tarzan" is the club's record goal scorer in both the league and all competitions and is now in his 11th season of senior football with the club. Kieran has been voted the player of the month on an incredible seven times - Aug'95, Oct'95, Oct '96, Dec'97, Jan'98, Feb'98 & Aug'99. Kieran is a firm fans favourite and has put in some fine performances this season and chipped in with some crucial goals.
Eamon Zayed

Eamo started his career with Broadford Rovers before moving to St Joseph's Boys club in Sallynoggin. While with Joey's Eamon was selected at U-16 & U-17 levels for both the Leinster Schoolboys and Dublin teams, and was on the Leinster Schools team at U-17. A promising young striker who had a spell with Leicester City a couple of years ago. He played for Leicester's youth team (U-18), Under-19 and Reserve side. Returned home after Leicester's relegation from the FA premier League in 2002 due to cost cutting at the club and joined Bray Wanderers. After impressing in Wanderers Under-21s, Eamon soon graduated to the senior team. Eamon scored the fastest hat-trick ever by a Bray Wanderers player against Dundalk earlier this season when the scored within a 9 minute spell from the 7th minute to the 16th minute. He made his international debut for the Irish Under-20s against Korea in January 2003 in a pre-world cup tournament and followed up with two goals against UAE two days later in a 3-2 win for Ireland. Eamon will be hopeful of making the re-arranged world youth cup finals later this year. Made his Under-21 debut for Ireland against Poland in a 5-1 away win in August 2003. Eamon is apart of the squad that will take place in the Under 20's Youth World Cup in the UAE.
Stephen Fox

A local lad, Foxy returned to Ireland in 1998 to sign for Bray Wanderers from Fairleigh Dickinson University in the states. Stephen started out with local side Ardmore Rovers and St. Joseph's Boys, before crossing the Atlantic to the US in 1993 on a soccer scholarship. Stephen has a FAI Cup winners medal from 1999. Stephen has won Player of the Month with Bray after some sterling performances, has been a virtual ever present this season scoring some crucial goals along the way.
John Flood

Striker / Left Midfield
Date Of Birth 16/01/84, Dublin
Floody was signed direct into the senior team in October 2002 from joeys and made his Debut against Bohemians in a league encounter at Dalymount Park, missing a penalty in the process! John has been selected and for both Ireland Under 16s and 17s and 19s. John scored his first senior goal for the club in the 4-1 away win over St Patrick's Athletic in December 2002.
